Group breathwork offers something different from an individual session. You will access the same benefits: releasing emotional tension and physical stress, deeper connection, mental clarity, but within the presence of a group of people each moving through their own process. The collective energy of that shared intention is felt by everyone in the room.
Witnessing others and being witnessed in this work is one of the most powerful parts of a group session. Many of us are drawn to processing alone because being seen feels unsafe. It is often in being seen, without judgement, that something begins to shift inside. The same relational context that created the wound is also what can heal it.
A lot of what we carry was created in isolation, but healing happens in connection. Co-regulating with a group of people each moving through their own process can evoke a sense of unity and safety that opens you up to explore parts of yourself in a new way.
Group and 1:1 work are not either/or. Breathing in community offers something different to your individual work, and many people adopt a group practice alongside their 1:1 sessions.
My approach
Each session is held within the framework of Introspective Breathwork®, a trauma-informed, autonomous practice that supports you to reconnect with your body at your own pace. There is no right or wrong way to experience it, and nothing is expected of you other than to arrive and breathe.
My attention is with each person in the room. I am actively listening to and staying present with the shifts in your breath, body and emotions throughout, ensuring you are supported as an individual within the group.
Sessions are held in a small, intimate space in central Brighton. Places are limited to 2-4 people so the group stays intentional, supportive, and everyone has room to breathe. There is no pressure or expectation to share anything with the group, your experience is your own and your privacy will always be honoured.
We begin with a check-in and intention setting. You are welcome to arrive, get comfortable and settle into the space. I will guide a breath awareness and body scan practice before we move into the breathwork.
You will breathe for around 50 minutes in a guided session accompanied by music. While we use conscious connected breathwork as the foundation of the practice, you are invited to explore and connect with your own breathing rhythm at your own pace.
We close with time to ground, settle, and integrate what may have surfaced. There is an invitation to share if you choose to; whatever is shared in the room stays in the room. This part of a session can be as powerful as the breathwork itself, as you and others voice your experiences, feeling mirrored, seen and held.
