About Liv

A little about me

I'm Liv, a trauma-informed breathwork practitioner based in Brighton in the UK. I came to this work through my own healing journey and the profound shifts breathwork created in my own life.

I spent many years caught in the cycle of trying to fix myself through rigid routines, restriction, supplements, and constant self-improvement. In reality, these things were perpetuating a narrative that had followed me since childhood. I came to realise just how fragmented I'd become; living almost entirely in my head, completely disconnected from my body and from any real sense of who I was. Breathwork changed everything for me. It gave me the space to see that I had never felt safe to live in my body, and every unconscious attempt I made to feel safe, only disconnected me further. For the first time in my life I was able to sit with and feel my emotions rather than run from them or manage them with something external. I went from living in fear of my body to learning to actually trust it. This is why I now do this work, and have supported dozens of people on their own journeys.

At 33, I chose a different path. I weaned myself off medication, closed the marketing agency I'd run for nearly a decade, and moved toward the work that had already begun changing my life. I qualified as a breathwork facilitator in 2023, and completed my practitioner-level certification in 2025 with 400+ hours of study, personal practice, and ethics training. During this time I was also an assistant teacher at my breathwork school, and held free weekly online breathwork sessions for people from all around the world.

How we work together

Intake form

Discovery call

We meet for a free, 30-minute call. You can share as much or as little as you'd like about yourself and what you're hoping to explore, ask questions, and see if working together feels like a good fit. There's no obligation to book a session.

Breathwork session

A 90-minute session begins with a check-in and intention setting. Then we move into a guided breathwork journey for 50 minutes to an hour, accompanied by a playlist of music. We close with time to ground and process.

Breathwork is a process, not a single event, and how it unfolds will be different for everyone. I'll be there to offer support between each session as you integrate what arises.

My approach

People come to breathwork for many reasons. You might be navigating stress, anxiety, or burnout. Perhaps you're processing grief, or working through something deeper that feels unresolved within you. You may have already tried other approaches to wellbeing and still feel like something is missing. Or maybe you feel disconnected from yourself and don't know how to voice what you're feeling. Whatever is bringing you here, you are welcome to bring your whole self, however that shows up.

There are eight core principles I use when working with my clients. The reason these foundations are so important is because breathwork is a powerful catalyst and can produce strong physiological and psychological effects, and that requires someone to hold the space responsibly, with integrity. Healing is not linear, and unique to our individual nervous systems and experiences. Our body needs to feel safe enough to open, and that can only happen in connection with someone who is regulated, grounded and not carrying something that could unconsciously impact the space they're holding. This is why it's important to work with a facilitator who has committed to their own inner work and is trained in a trauma-informed framework.

Intention

We begin with a few questions to explore what's present for you, and together we find a focus for the session. This could be something specific or simply to remain open and curious to what comes up.

Resourcing

We identify something internal or external that feels steady and comforting, a resource your nervous system can return to throughout the process to ensure it doesn't become overwhelming.

Connection

We bring awareness to sensations in the body and breathe with them. Moving beyond simply thinking about what you're feeling, we start to practice being with it directly, at a pace that stays within your capacity.

Autonomy

Agency in the body isn't always readily available, it's something that gets rediscovered. We work together to create a space where your body feels safe enough to begin to open.

Co-regulation

My nervous system is actively listening to yours, attuning to shifts in your breath, body, and emotions, allowing you to feel truly supported as things begin to surface.

Collaboration

I can't define what safety feels like for you. That's why we work together over a series of sessions to establish trust in your voice, your needs and your boundaries. Nothing happens without your consent.

Self-trust

Self-trust is often eroded by trauma, people-pleasing, or years of looking externally for answers. The soul of this work is to support you in reconnecting with yourself and your own inner authority.

Acceptance

All parts of you are welcome. The parts you have been told to hide, learned to ignore or pushed down, they can be held and witnessed here, without judgement.
